Introduction to Rock-Climbing
If you would love to climb, but have no idea where to begin, this is the course for you.
You will be taken through the basics of tying knots, choosing equipment, rigging anchor points, belaying a climber on a top-rope system and a bottom rope system, using prussic loops for various self-safety & emergency techniques as well as lots of rock-climbing and abseiling.
Step by step you will build confidence enabling you to have a safe, fun and enjoyable climbing experience at the same time enjoying some spectacular Cornish scenery.
Courses run the first weekend of each month (April-October) with a maximum ratio of 6:1

Learn to Lead
Learn to lead climb with the confidence of having an expert eye overseeing your every move!
The instruction will be tailored to your individual needs, whether these are the basics, such as tying in and clipping your first runner, through to more complicated aspects, such as using twin ropes, climbing as a party of three, or multi-pitch climbing. I aim to give you the experience and confidence to tackle routes of your choice and aspirations, safely from the ground up.
Rope Rigging and Basic Rescue Course
This course is designed for both novice & experienced climbers alike.
The aims of this course are to develop & improve rigging skills, self-help procedures & basic rescue techniques allowing you to confidently look after your friends & family members when out climbing together.
Safe in the knowledge that your rigging and setups are safe.
Stunt Register Preparation Course
End of day post climbing sword-practice on a remote rocky outcrop.
I provide a training course specifically aimed at individuals looking to become qualified stunt performers on the British Stunt Register (BSR). This course enables you to achieve all rock climbing and abseiling skills required to gain your Rock Climbing Instructor (RCI) and to undertake your multi-pitch VS lead-climbing assessment.
Each course is run over 5 consecutive days and is tailored to each individuals’ abilities and experience.
All technical climbing equipment and PPE (including climbing shoes) is provided during the course.
Each course is run at a 2 client to 1 instructor ratio.
