Rock-climbing & mountaineering for over 35 years, Phill has spent most of his work life teaching rock-climbing on the magical sea cliffs around Cornwall’s wonderful coastline, as well as exploring the lesser known inland crags hidden throughout the county.

Phill is a fully qualified professional Mountaineering Instructor, who holds the MCI (Mountaineering & Climbing Instructor) and the WML (Winter Mountain Leader).

He’s also a full member of the AMI (Association of Mountaineering Instructors) and the MTA (Mountain Training Association).

Former course provider (now retired) for the MTE (Mountain Training England) & former member of Cornwall Search and Rescue Team, specialising in cliff and cave rescue.

He’s well known for his bad jokes and insight into philosophy “YOU’RE NOT AS GREEN AS YOU’RE CABBAGE LOOKING.”

Ziva

942 Ziva is the heart of our team, here at Climbing Cornwall.  She has a full body wag and gives lots of cuddles & Kisses. Ziva is at home scrambling over the rock, swimming in the sea and guarding everyone’s lunch bag!
